of the testis consists of seminiferous tubules which are tightly
coiled.
The walls of the seminiferous tubules are made up of endothelial
cells called Sertoli cells.
The testes are at 1.5 - 2.5 degree Celsius below core body temperature.
The epididymus is a 5m coiled tube which collects sperm. Passage
takes 8 days during which time the sperm become progressively
motile.
