The Male Reproductive Tract

The penis consists of two parts: the fixed root or radix and the free corpus or shaft.
The greatest part is formed by the corpus cavernosum. This is surrounded by the corpus spongiosum. Vasodilation during sexual arousal causes increased blood flow into both regions and restricts venous drainage. The epididymis/ seminal vesicle, prostrate and bulbo - urethra gland or Cowpers gland add fluid to the ejaculate.
