The
spaces between the tubules are filled with Leydig cells, blood + lymphatic
vessels etc. The maturation of the primary germ cells occurs between
adjacent Sertoli cells with progression towards the lumen. Maturation
(spermatogenesis) occurs in waves taking 16 days.
